Chase Geigle is a computer scientist and educator at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he currently is pursuing his PhD (starting in 2013). His research interests include text mining and machine learning, particularly when applied to the domain of education.

He is a member of the Text Information Management and Analysis (TIMAN) group where he studies under the supervision of Dr. ChengXiang Zhai. He is a lead developer on the MeTA toolkit (with creator Sean Massung) and a self-described C++ aficionado.
